Opportunities & Challenges to De-Colonize Extra-Curricular Student Activities: A Case Study

Sukhi Brar-Cherrille (she/her) is a student at the University of the Fraser Valley School of Social Work and Human Services. Her work experience in social services thus far has spanned crisis response, substance use and homelessness, mental health licensed care, and youth services. Sukhi has an avid interest in social policy and social justice, particularly pertaining to the areas of educational equity, anti-colonialism, and the South Asian diaspora. In her time away from school, Sukhi can be found lost in a true crime novel or working on a phulkari embroidery project (Punjabi folk art).
