Volunteer positions, Centre for Epilepsy and Seizure Education in BC

The Center for Epilepsy and Seizure Education in BC (ESEBC) is looking for you!

Are you a dedicated and passionate individual looking for opportunities to serve your community? Do you have a talent for connecting with people and a positive attitude that can brighten anyone’s day? Are you a self-proclaimed organizational expert, or a tech-whiz who can troubleshoot just about anything? Whatever your talents may be, ESEBC wants to utilize your specific skills and talents to elevate our volunteer program to help us provide the best care to our clients.

ESEBC is a small (yet mighty!) not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and their families navigating an epilepsy diagnosis. 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetimes, yet the current systems in place often leave our clients reaching out in need of additional support.

This is where you come in!

Our most pressing current need is to fill in-office administrative roles. If you have a few hours a week that you can dedicate to making sure our office is a warm and welcoming place, this is the perfect position for you. We need someone who can greet clients and reply to phone calls and emails while maintaining a level of organization in our office, assisting staff when needed. And, if you have experience with fundraising, we need your help making sure our future events are expertly planned and executed.

Our Commitment to You

If our organization sounds like the kind of place you could see yourself volunteering your time, please reach out! We are eager to find the perfect position for you, and have countless opportunities based on individual needs and schedules. All training will be provided, and we don’t require any specific skills other than a desire to learn and a positive attitude.

If offered a role, you will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check, as well as provide 2 references to reinforce your suitability for your role. We will provide instructions for any paperwork and will always be available to answer questions!

The Center for Epilepsy and Seizure Education in BC highly encourages applications from a diverse population- epilepsy can affect anyone at any time, and we’d love for our volunteers to be equally as representative as the clients we serve. If you’re a person of colour, an individual with diverse abilities, people of all sexual orientations and genders, an Indigenous person, or have any accessibility needs, we want to hear from you! Our work with vulnerable populations means we are here to provide you with a safe and enjoyable volunteer experience.
