Duties & Responsibilities:
The Home Share Program Manager is responsible for the overall coordination of the program, including the planning and care of individuals, communication with families and other involved professionals and staff Leadership.
The successful candidate will provide support to individuals with complex health care needs
and be able to offer appropriate Positive Behavioural Supports to individuals and the staff
team. The successful candidate will have proven exceptional written and oral communication
abilities, be self-reliant, able to work independently, and foster a strong team working
relationship that extends to everyone actively involved in the individuals’ lives.
They will also be able to work collaboratively with other department programs and Managers,
maintain appropriate records and ensure completion of all documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:
The successful applicant must have post-secondary education in a related field together with
experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Previous managerial
experience is an asset.

The successful applicant must also demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
and be able to present professionally. Organizational skills, team leadership and the ability to
facilitate meetings are essential to the success of the program. Experience managing complex
health and behavior supports is an asset. The successful applicant must also demonstrate a
pleasant and positive work attitude with an ability to relate effectively to others and have a
sound philosophical understanding and ability to implement the principles of community living.
A strong commitment to individualized planning and service is also important. The successful
applicant must have own vehicle and possess a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License, CPR and First
Aid Certification and be able to meet all other CSCL employment criteria (e.g.: Criminal Record
Search, Good Health Certificate, Food Safe Certificate, etc.)

Special Qualifications:
A thorough working knowledge of the Home-Sharing model and working with contracted
caregivers is required. An understanding of mental health diagnosis, complex medical needs
and harm reduction model of support.
Experience in recruitment, conducting interviews and SAFE home studies. The successful
applicant will have a strong commitment to individualized planning and service combined with
excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to present professionally.
Superior computer skills, including experience with and knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
(Word & Excel).
Will be available to conduct work outside a normal office environment and/or outside normal
office hours to provide necessary support for the service.

Shifts/Schedule:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flex time.
Flexibility required as per the needs of the service.

Compensation:
As per Community Social Services Collective Agreement ($25.55 – $29.74 per hour).
Benefits include Extended Health and Dental, as well as participation in the Municipal Pension
Plan, when eligible.
This position requires Union membership (BCGEU).
