Temporary Full-Time Social Work Position (would suit a social work student)
For a 16-week, full-time, summer position
The BCCSW is the professional regulatory body for the social work profession in BC. We are looking for a social worker or social work student to work in our professional practice and registration department. The positions is suitable for:
- a BCCSW registered social worker
- a recent graduate from a BSW program,
- a student currently in graduate studies,
- an upper-level BSW student with extensive work experience in the social services sector.
The position is based at the office of the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW) in Vancouver.
The successful applicant will apply their social work knowledge and experience in a variety of regulatory tasks, including but not restricted to:
Attending to registrant’s questions via phone and email
Working on a variety of research projects in conjunction with other staff members.
Assisting with application assessments.
Assisting with intake in our complaints department.
Assisting with public presentations
This is a very good opportunity for a social worker or student who is interested in policy, and the intersection of law and social work.
Working as part of our dynamic team, the position promises variety, and the opportunity to learn about social work regulation.
This position is 35 hours per week within office hours, and will report to the Director, Policy and Projects. Expected start is May 7, 2019 with some flexibility around start and end date.
