Position: Community Support Worker

Nature of Position:

The Community Support Worker will be expected to work with groups of Aboriginal families. The goal of the groups is to provide Aboriginal culture to families and children.

Qualifications (knowledge, education, skills, experience)

Community Support Worker Diploma or child and Youth Social Services Degree/Diploma, current First Aid/CPR certificate, Food Safe Certificate, positive work references and a clean criminal record.

Required Skills:

Use of personal vehicle

Knowledge and experience with Aboriginal culture, good communication skills, ability to participate in various activities, knowledge of community resources and the ability to work independently as well as with in a collaborative team model. The position requires the employee to use their own personal vehicle for work purposes. (Aboriginal peoples are encouraged to apply as identifies as a bona-fide hiring requirement)
