Cultural Interpreter – Part-time
This position involves providing language interpretation services and cultural insight for students and families. The Cultural Interpreter promotes and fosters cross cultural understanding within the school system and community.
Candidates must have a post-secondary education in social services, teaching, counselling or social work and a minimum of three years of full time, paid work experience in cultural liaison or social services in Canada. Oral and written fluency in English and Arabic is required. Verbal language skills in Kurdish, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu will be considered an asset. Since this position requires travel amongst various sites candidates must be mobile within Richmond.
