The Faculty of Science is pleased to announce that UFV Physics student, Annabelle Czihaly<\/strong>, was selected to represent UFV this summer at the London International Youth Science Forum. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 the 62nd LIYSF has been postponed to 2021.<\/p>\n

The shortlisted candidates, Annabelle Czihaly, Chandy Dancey, Connor Frey<\/strong> and Heather Kelly<\/strong>, were to present in person back in March. Since this was not possible, our candidates tuned up their video skills and submitted a virtual presentation to our selection panel and interviews were then held. It was a difficult decision for our panel as all candidates were stellar students.<\/p>\n

Annabelle will travel abroad next summer with the chosen representative for next year. They will join 500 other leading scientists from around the world where they’ll immerse themselves in the 2-week summer programme in the UK. The date for next year’s event is July 28 – August 11, 2021.<\/p>\n

We have no doubt that Annabelle will represent UFV with pride!<\/p>\n
