\"\"<\/a>For our first day in France we visited the Cit\u00e9 des sciences et de l\u2019industrie. The site fills three stories devoted to scientific inquiry, containing a vast array of interactive displays and thought-provoking exhibits.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>There was a genetics exhibit with an entire wall dedicated to the Human Genome Project. Every gene on every chromosome was detailed, reminding me of the genomics research that I took part in this year under Dr James Bedard.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Another highlight was the astrophysics exhibit, which included an interactive tour of the cosmos, a walkthrough of its history, and a discussion of the origins of the Universe.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Later this evening we got to spend time wandering the city of Paris. I will never get tired of the architecture in Europe.<\/p>\n
