Happy Pi Day!<\/p>\n

The Mathematics & Statistics Dept. was invited to attend MEI in Abbotsford to help celebrate Pi Day.<\/p>\n

Susan Milner and UFV students, Ben Tremblay & Charlie Watson, shared puzzles with 2 sets of grade 4 & 5 students (6 classes in all) and Susan also shared puzzles with a total of 330 grade 6-8 students, in two groups.<\/p>\n

Ian Affleck, Greg Schlitt, and UFV students Michael Friesen, Mark Rempel, Josha Ho, visited Math 10,11 and Calc 12 classrooms, demonstrating interesting ideas about pi and related concepts.<\/p>\n

MEI had over 25 teachers and TA’s participating and lots fun was had by all!<\/p>\n
