Mountain Secondary School, Langley for their project &#8220;<em>Black Soldier Fly Larvae as Organic Fertilizer<\/em>&#8220;; <strong>Andrew Armstrong<\/strong>, Home-schooled for his project &#8220;<em>Deflategate: Possible Cheating<\/em>&#8220;; and <strong>Caio de Figueiroa<\/strong> from W.J. Mouat Secondary, Abbotsford for his project &#8220;<em>Appealing Limonene<\/em>&#8220;. They will be joining over 500 of Canada&#8217;s top young scientists at the University of New Brunswick May 11-18 and will be competing for nearly $1 Million in awards, prizes and scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lucy Lee, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Chair of the FVRSF, awarded the UFV Scholarship to the team of <strong>Nathan Flokstra<\/strong> and <strong>Ethan Eigenraam<\/strong> from Credo Christian Secondary School, Langley for their project &#8220;<em>The Pill Portioner<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Grade 3 student from Terry Fox Elementary School, Abbotsford &#8211; <strong>Ruhaan Virk<\/strong> was awarded the Science World Class Trip for his project &#8220;<em>Green Energy<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/secure.youthscience.ca\/sfiab\/fraservalley\/winners.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The complete list of winners at the 2019 Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To view all the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ufv\/47655194452\/in\/album-72157708118504995\/\"><strong>photos of our event<\/strong> <\/a>and the <strong>students&#8217; projects<\/strong>, please visit our Flickr Album. Over 100 people joined in on our lab tours and demonstrations hosted by some of our amazing UFV faculty and students. Geography, Science Rocks! and the Super Science Club had some great hands on activities for everyone.
