The University of the Fraser Valley athletic department features 140 varsity student-athletes participating on teams across five sports. The Cascades’ men’s and women’s basketball teams belong to the Canada West Conference of U SPORTS<\/a>. We are beyond thrilled that both UFV men’s and women’s basketball teams have clinched a playoff spot. Playoffs begin February 8th.<\/p>\n

Our women’s basketball team will take on the Trinity Western Spartans for the final two games of the regular season on February 1st at the Envision Athletic Centre<\/a>. They will\u00a0then head to the Langley Events Centre<\/a> on February 2nd for the final game of the regular season.<\/p>\n

We are very proud of our women’s basketball team and delighted that 5 of the 15 women on the team are from the Faculty of Science! So a special shout out to our science students!<\/p>\n

Madison is currently enrolled in the Bachelors of Science program at UFV with career aspirations of becoming an orthotics and prosthetics technician.<\/p>\n
