The Faculty of Science runs a science outreach program for elementary school students.\u00a0 Super Science Club <\/a>is an after-school program that UFV offers in collaboration with Science World<\/strong>. The goal of this program is to inspire children to be inquisitive about the world around them, and to develop a long-term interest in science and technology.<\/p>\n

Successful applicants will be running a Super Science Club program at Eugene Reimer Middle School <\/a>or at Auguston Traditional Elementary School <\/a>in Abbotsford. The Eugene Reimer students will come from feeder elementary schools. A program will typically run for 4-5 weeks, one afternoon per week from about 2:30 \u2013 4:30. (The day of the week will depend on UFV student facilitator availability).<\/p>\n

Science World provides paid training and UFV student facilitators use the Science World curriculum. See http:\/\/www.scienceworld.ca\/ssc<\/a> for more information about the program.<\/p>\n

Successful applicants will be running a Super Science Club program at a school in Abbotsford and\/or Chilliwack. A program will typically run for 4-5 weeks, one afternoon per week from about 2:30 – 4:30 pm. (The day of week will depend on UFV student facilitator availability).<\/p>\n

The pay for the positions is $12.65 per hour<\/strong>. Please apply by sending your resume and a brief letter of interest to robin.endelman@ufv.ca<\/a><\/strong>, by Monday, October 15, 2018 for full consideration.<\/p>\n

Successful candidates will be required to obtain a criminal record check and to attend a training session at Science World.<\/p>\n
