Field schools and study tours give students the opportunity to gain local and international experience and earn credits by participating. In May, a group of 24 students travelled to Tofino, BC with Professors Allan Arndt<\/strong>, Nathan Bialas<\/strong><\/a>, Allan Reid, <\/strong>and Biology Lab Technician Avril Alfred<\/strong> <\/a>where they explored the wild, west coast of Vancouver Island. The field school is always in such great demand that a second class was opened for July with Professors Allan Arndt, Greg Schmaltz<\/a><\/strong>, Steve Thomas<\/a><\/strong>, Carlos Leon Guevara<\/a> ,\u00a0<\/strong>and J Hughes<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
