2016 BSc Graduate and Governor General’s Silver Medal Recipient, Alyssa Zucchet<\/strong>, just published her first co-authored research paper, and that\u2019s just the beginning.<\/p>\n

Investigating the health risks of smoking electronic cigarettes with UFV biology Associate Professor Gregory Schmaltz<\/a>, Alyssa Zucchet \u201cwanted to know what people were getting themselves into.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite her heavy workload, Zucchet still finds time to enjoy the sunny sights and sounds around Kelowna.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re probably less harmful than cigarettes, but definitely not harmless,\u201d Zucchet summarizes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re finding things in e-cigarettes people might not expect,\u201d she says of their research \u2018Electronic cigarettes \u2014 A review of the physiological health effects<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 published July 18 in FACETS, a Canadian multidisciplinary open access science journal.<\/p>\n
