Her UFV Biology honours research project &#8220;<em>Preparing Nurses for Genetic Medicine: Integration of a Brief Education Session in an Undergraduate Nursing Curriculum<\/em>&#8221; was submitted to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healio.com\/nursing\/journals\/jne\">HEALIO Journal of Nursing Education <\/a>and was published March 2017.<\/p>\n<p>She completed her first year MS in Genetic Counseling at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csustan.edu\/msgc\">California State University-Stanislaus State <\/a>last August before returning to Abbotsford for her clinical rotation training under the supervision of Angela Bedard and Allison Mindlin at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccancer.bc.ca\/\">BC Cancer Agency<\/a>. She returned to California State to continue her Masters in Genetic Counseling.<\/p>\n<p>Genevieve completed a clinical internship at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stanfordchildrens.org\/\">Stanford Children&#8217;s Health \/ Lucile Packard Children&#8217;s Hospital <\/a>as a Prenatal Genetic Counselor; and finished off her final year at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucsfhealth.org\/\">UCSF Medical Center <\/a>as a Pediatric Genetic\u00a0and Metabolic Genetic Counseling Intern.<\/p>\n<p>Genevieve successfully defended her MS thesis May 5, 2017!<\/p>\n<p>We wish her continued success!<\/p>\n<h4>Article:<\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>St-Martin G.,<\/strong> Bedard A., Nelmes J., <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ufv.ca\/biology\/contact-us\/faculty\/bedard-james.htm\">Bedard J.<\/a> <\/strong>(2017).
