The March for Science is the first step of a global movement to defend the vital role science plays in our health, safety, economies, and governments. It is a celebration of our passion for science and the many ways science serves our communities and our world.<\/p>\n

There are over 450 marches being planned across Canada and internationally in over 30 countries! Hundreds of people are expected to march in Vancouver this Saturday according to Global News BC. The movement grew into a Facebook page <\/a>that now has more than half a million followers. Vancouver’s march will begin at 10:00 am at the plaza outside Queen Elizabeth Theatre and march all the way to Science World and Creekside Park, where a series of speakers, including local scientists and science communicators, will address the crowd.<\/p>\n

Shut off your screen, put down your phone, and join us for little fresh air! It is well-known that the more time we spend outside, the more passionate we feel about keeping nature pristine and beautiful, and that\u2019s what Earth Day is all about. EarthPLAY<\/strong> invites everybody: students, staff, and faculty, to take a break from the indoor mindset and embrace your inner, nature-loving child again.<\/p>\n
