Held at UFV’s Abbotsford campus, in the Envision Athletic Centre (North Gym).\u00a0 (download a map<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Science Fairs are held each year in hundreds of elementary and secondary schools around the province. Projects can come in the form of a report, a demonstration or a model. All must follow specific criteria and all must display original scientific research.<\/p>\n

Students in the Fraser Valley are given the opportunity to display their outstanding projects to the public through the Regional Science Fair held each year at UFV.<\/p>\n

Monday, February 25, 2013: Registration Closes
\nDeadline for Students\/schools to register projects for the Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair.

Friday, March 8, 2013: Registered Participants Posted
\nProjects accepted for the Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair\u00a0will\u00a0be posted.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, April 2, 2013: Set-up
\nSponsor teachers, parents, and students set up projects between\u00a04 and 7 pm\u00a0 in the Envision Athletic Centre (North Gym) on UFV’s Abbotsford campus.\u00a0 Abstracts must be placed in the student logbook and accompany the student\u2019s project.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, April 3, 2013: Judging
\nGrades 7 \u2013 12 starting at 1:00pm
\nGrades\u00a0K \u2013\u00a06 starting at\u00a03:00pm<\/p>\n

Wed\/Thurs April 3\/4, 2013: Public Viewing and School Tours
\nThe public is welcome to view the Science Fair:
\n– Wednesday,\u00a0April 3 from 8:00 – 12:00, and 6:00-8:00 pm
\n– Thursday,\u00a0April 4\u00a0from 8:00 – 3:00pm.<\/p>\n

Thursday, April 4, 2013: Take-down

Friday, April 5, 2013\u00a0: Awards at 4pm
\nEveryone is welcome to attend the awards ceremony in the Envisions Athletic Centre (North Gym) on UFV’s Abbotsford campus.\u00a0 A member of the Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair Committee will contact your school by Friday morning, April 5, if someone from your school will be receiving a special award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
