Several UFV Geography students and faculty are contributing to environmental research on British Columbia\u2019s central coast. This research is funded by the Hakai Program and is in collaboration with colleagues from University of Victoria. The research involves gaining an understanding of how that landscape in the region adjusted following the demise of the ice sheet that covered over much of British Columbia during the last ice age (glaciation). This research has also has implications for early human migration and occupation of the coast.<\/p>\n
