The Ghafourifar Lab<\/a> has had quite the busy year between working in the lab, classes, travelling and presenting at conferences.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Maor Arad<\/strong> won the annual Undergraduate Research Excellence Award<\/a> at UFV held in May this year.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Manjot Benning<\/strong> won the first-ever UFV Alumni Association’s Outstanding Leader award<\/a> and went on to represent UFV at the London International Youth Science Forum July 26 – August 9.<\/a><\/p>\n

Dr. Golfam Ghafourifar<\/strong> and her research students (pictured above)<\/em>: Rajan Deol, Dario Jereb, Harmanpreet Kaur, Maor Arad, Zach Nestman, Manjot Benning, <\/strong>and Ronald Balagtas <\/strong>attended\/presented at the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition held in Vancouver in June. This conference brings together students from across Canada every year.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> Congratulations to Zach Nestman<\/strong> who won an award for honorable mention in the analytical chemistry division’s undergraduate competition. This is the third year in a row the Ghafourifar Lab has won the analytical poster presentation for undergraduate students!<\/p>\n
