Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty of Science is running a new science outreach program this semester! <em><strong>Science Rocks! Days<\/strong> <\/em>is a series of one-day science education events for children, held on Saturdays, on our Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses. We have events for kids in grades 4-8. The goal of this program is to inspire children to be\u00a0 inquisitive about the world around them, and to develop a long-term interest in science and technology. Our first <em>Science Rocks! Days <\/em>event is October 16, for children in grades 4-6, on our Abbotsford campus.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a passion for science, love working with kids, and are excited to bring these two together,<\/li>\n<li>Work well in a team situation as well as on your own,<\/li>\n<li>Have good organizational skills, and are also able to change plans quickly and easily as needed,<\/li>\n<li>Have a broad science background,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>then this job is for you! Preference will be given to students who have experience working with children. Volunteers will be required to attend a training session and obtain a criminal record check.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about <em>Science Rocks!
