“Dr. Amir Shabani of the UFV School of Computing has recently had a chapter published in the book Robotics, Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems, with co-authors Chanzo Muema, Steven Lawrence, and Taif Anjum.
The title of the chapter is “Social Embodiment of Companion Robots in Smart Spaces: IoRT for Independent Living.” The paper describes work on using machine learning and artificial intelligence for task assistance for aging populations.
