On 22 September 2025, the South Asian Studies Institute (SASI) hosted Cultural Discovery Day at the Sikh Heritage Museum (SHM) as part of the City of Abbotsford\u2019s Cultural Day programming!<\/p>\n
SASI Museum Assistant, Makenna Brar, led guided tours of the grounds of the National Historic Site, Gur Sikh Temple with a fun scavenger hunt activity encouraging listeners to fill in the blanks based on the information they were learning!<\/p>\n

Following this, there was a viewing of a short educational video and a further talk as well as a question-and-answer session with Makenna inside the ground floor legacy hall.
