Please see below a small profile on our great staff:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Riely-Moore.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1593\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Riely-Moore-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"riely-moore\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Riely Moore: Riely has been working with the CICS team on the Canada 150 project in the role as French Translator for the exhibit, which will manifest in the new year. The\u00a0project exhibit, panels and historical timeline will showcase Canada 150 in three different languages, Punjabi, English and French.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Aman-Grewal-1-e1481824972493.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1603\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Aman-Grewal-1-e1481824972493-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"aman-grewal\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Amandeep Grewal: Aman has been working at the CICS as a research assistant since the summer of 2016. She is part of the Canada 150 team that is developing an\u00a0exhibit at the Sikh Heritage Museum looking at the story of the South Asian vote. \u00a0Aman collected and analyzed images pertaining to the framework of this project.\u00a0 She learned a vast amount of history of the \u00a0hardships and accomplishments the early Asian immigrants faced in migrating to British Columbia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Saman-brar-e1481824614197.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1602\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Saman-brar-e1481824614197-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"saman-brar\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Samanpreet Kaur Brar: Samanpreet is a UFV alumni who has been working as the Assistant Coordinator at the CICS. Samanpreet assists with the communications and public relations at the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies. She worked on the marketing and logistics of the CICS publication <em>Reluctant Rebellions<\/em> by Shauna Singh Baldwin. In addition, Saman has organized CICS research databases that have developed over the last seven years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Kendra-Image.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1588\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Kendra-Image-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kendra-image\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kendra Schellenberg:\u00a0Kendra was hired at the end of summer 2016 as a Designer\/Visual Artist for the CICS&#8217;s 2017 exhibition at the Sikh Heritage Museum. During her time at the Centre she has\u00a0stepped into a wide variety of roles including: copy editor, social media consultant and research assistant.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/FullSizeRender.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1586\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/FullSizeRender-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"fullsizerender\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Samarveer Singh: Samar worked on a number of tasks including: English to Punjabi translation work for an upcoming Sikh Heritage Museum exhibit; preparing outlines for the execution of education\u00a0kits and data management. According to Samar, his experience at the CICS has been an\u00a0amazing learning experience which has taught him South Asian history in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Yuvraj-headshot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1548\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Yuvraj-headshot-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"yuvraj-headshot\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Yuvraj-headshot-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Yuvraj-headshot.jpg 297w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yuvraj Singh: Yuvraj\u00a0has been working at the CICS as a research assistant for two semesters. Yuvraj worked on two major CICS projects. The first major project was as a marketing strategist for the CICS publication of <em>Reluctant Rebellions <\/em>by renowned author Shauna Singh Baldwin. Yuvraj also compiled, digitized and archived the raw data based on the consultations for the Punjabi Legacy Project led by\u00a0the Royal BC Museum in partnership with the CICS.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Ankush-Image.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1531\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/sasi\/files\/2016\/12\/Ankush-Image-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"ankush-image\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ankush Goyal: The CICS hosted\u00a0Ankush Goyal, a final year\u00a0Bachelor of Business Administration at GGDSD College, Chandigarh in the Fall semester, 2016.
