This is to ensure a consistent and reliable power supply.<br \/>\nTo complete this work safely, there will be a temporary power shutdown affecting Buildings A, B, and C. UFV\u2019s backup generator will keep the data center operational during this time to minimize service disruption.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When will this occur?<\/strong><br \/>\nFriday August 29th, 2025, 6:00AM \u2013 8:00AM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is impacted?<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tUFV employees and students accessing Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus) during the maintenance window.<br \/>\n\u2022\tUFV employees using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to connect to their office devices in Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Services Impacted:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tPower outage in Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus).<br \/>\n\u2022\tRemote Desktop Connections will be unavailable if connecting to an office device in Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus).<\/p>\n<p>Still need more info?<br \/>\nIf you have any questions, please contact the IT Service Desk at <a href=\"http:\/\/itservicedesk.ufv.ca\">itservicedesk.ufv.ca<\/a>, email <a href=\"mailto:itservicedesk@ufv.ca\">itservicedesk@ufv.ca<\/a> or call us on local 4610 or 604-864-4610.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What do I need to know?
