{"id":2593,"date":"2023-10-04T16:32:55","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T23:32:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/itservices\/?p=2593"},"modified":"2023-10-04T16:33:56","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T23:33:56","slug":"known-issue-spss-not-supported-for-macos-sonoma-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/itservices\/2023\/10\/known-issue-spss-not-supported-for-macos-sonoma-users\/","title":{"rendered":"Known Issue &#8211; SPSS Not Supported for macOS Sonoma Users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UFV Students and Employees attempting to access SPSS Statistics on the latest macOS will experience a compatibility issue.\u00a0 \u00a0 SPSS Version 28 and 29 are incompatible with the latest macOS, Sonoma.\u00a0 Users attempting to use SPSS on macOS 14 Sonoma cannot run the software.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended solutions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If possible, Mac users are asked not to upgrade to 14.0 Sonoma until the issue has been resolved by SPSS Statistics (IBM).<\/li>\n<li>UFV students and employees can access a remote connection to a campus lab that would allow them to connect to SPSS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Connect to a Campus Lab:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo connect to a UFV Student Lab using a remote desktop connection, visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/itservicedesk.ufv.ca\/TDClient\/52\/ITServicesPortal\/KB\/ArticleDet?ID=2007\">knowledgebase article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SPSS Statistics is available in computer labs:<br \/>\n<strong>Abbotsford G210<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Abbotsford A302<br \/>\nAbbotsford A353<br \/>\nAbbotsford D242<br \/>\nChilliwack P1061<br \/>\nChilliwack P2003<br \/>\nChilliwack P2031<br \/>\nChilliwack V116<br \/>\nClearbrook L104<br \/>\nClearbrook L114<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SPSS Statistics (IBM) has not confirmed when this issue will be resolved, but they hope to have a solution by December 2023.
