What do I need to know?

In order to improve your UFV email security, UFV is implementing voluntary upgrades to our password protection process. These improvements will provide greater security and make it easier for you to independently create and reset your passwords without going through the IT Service desk.


Self-serve password reset (SSPR) enrollment is a voluntary improvement all staff and faculty can choose to implement now – you do not have to change your password, you can just enroll.

SSPR is a one-time-only enrollment; once you set up SSPR, it is ready to use whenever you need to reset your password.

Who is impacted?

While this is not required, all UFV faculty and staff are encouraged to enroll for SSPR.
