They will be relocating it further south towards the main entrance of building E.<br \/>\nThis relocation will cause impacts to accessing building E, along with disruptive work being completed outside of building E.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>May 18-20: Fence modified to close sidewalk between front &amp; side entrances of Building E\n<ul>\n<li>This will remove the ramp access from the pathway that previously led to the parking lot (see map below).<\/li>\n<li>Accessible access will be via the ramp on the southeast corner of the building, or via the west or east entrances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>May 20-31: Excavation, pipe install, backfill, pressure testing &amp; flushing, pipe cutting to take place inside new fence enclosure.\n<ul>\n<li>This will be disruptive work with loud noise and vibrations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>May 27-31: New Fire Department Connection &amp; Hydrant tie-in;\n<ul>\n<li>will shut down sprinkler service to Building E for one half day (specific date TBD)<\/li>\n<li>The building will still be able to operate normally.<\/li>\n<li>Firewatch will be provided by the construction team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>June 3: Fence restored to current set up.\n<ul>\n<li>Pathway access will be reopened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-277\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/campus-planning\/files\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-14-142315.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"661\" height=\"628\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/campus-planning\/files\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-14-142315.jpg 661w, https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/campus-planning\/files\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-14-142315-300x285.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PROJECT OWNER: Lily Chan, UFV Capital Projects Director, (778) 982-0217<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Office Construction Bulletin WHO: Stone Davidson, Clark Builders, 780-298-4993 WHEN: Saturday, May 18, 2024, to Monday, June 3, 2024 WHERE: Student Housing Construction Site outside of Building E, Abbotsford Campus WHAT: The Student Housing team will be relocating the fire hydrant that is beside building E.
