This year, we celebrate the incredible legacy of Lorne Mackenzie \u2014 a cherished colleague, mentor, and leader \u2014 as he retires from the UFV School of Business after 25 years of service! 🎉<\/p>\n
Lorne\u2019s impact is woven into the fabric of our School. From co-designing the flagship BUS 100 and BUS 405 courses to helping launch the BBA program in Chandigarh, his contributions have shaped generations of students.<\/p>\n
Lorne brought business theory to life in the classroom. His teaching was deeply enriched and made special by extensive real-world experience, including as President of KFC Canada and as a multi-unit franchise owner-operator.<\/p>\n
Beyond his academic achievements, Lorne continues to be passionate community advocate, serving on boards that promote meaningful change both locally and abroad. 🌍<\/p>\n
At Lorne\u2019s retirement party in May, colleagues honoured his legacy with stories that were funny, moving, and deeply inspiring \u2014 just like Lorne himself.<\/p>\n
While Lorne\u2019s next chapter includes travel, vineyards, and well-earned rest with his wife Mila, his influence will continue to resonate in every class, meeting, and hallway conversation.<\/p>\n
