Activities included a visit to Garaventa Lift\u2014a Swiss company operating globally in Canada; a tour of the GCT Deltaport facility; a day experiencing Canadian First Nations\u2019 business traditions and culture in Whistler, BC; the opportunity to network with School of Business alumni at an International Business Alumni Reception; and a panel session on, &#8220;Bringing the world to the Fraser Valley, and the Fraser Valley to the world&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1122 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/business\/files\/2020\/02\/canva-photo-editor-4-200x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/business\/files\/2020\/02\/canva-photo-editor-4-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/business\/files\/2020\/02\/canva-photo-editor-4-682x1024.png 682w, https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/business\/files\/2020\/02\/canva-photo-editor-4-768x1153.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/business\/files\/2020\/02\/canva-photo-editor-4-1023x1536.png 1023w, https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/business\/files\/2020\/02\/canva-photo-editor-4.png 1066w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 234px) 100vw, 234px\" \/>Through the various presentations, discussions, and activities participants left being able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outline the Canadian business context,<\/li>\n<li>Differentiate International business perspectives,<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate cultural awareness,<\/li>\n<li>Develop cross-cultural business competences, and<\/li>\n<li>Manage internationalization in their home country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The final day, participants gathered all of the information they learned throughout the week and presented their conclusions.
