- Andrea Albonico, Assistant Professor of Psychology, co-authored \u201cChapter 20 – The Lateralization of Reading<\/a><\/em>\u201d<\/strong> in the Handbook of Clinical Neurology – Volume 208, 2025<\/em>, alongside Jason J.S. Barton and Randi Starrfelt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Political Science<\/strong><\/h2>\n

- Dr. Noah Schwartz, Assistant Professor of Political Science, participated in the Realms of Memory<\/em> podcast<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0The National Rifle Association (NRA) is often seen as a powerful political lobby blocking gun reform. However, its true influence lies in shaping American gun culture through memory and storytelling. Dr. Schwartz discusses his book On Target: Gun Culture, Storytelling, and the NRA<\/em> and the organization’s impact on firearm perceptions.<\/li>\n
- Dr. Edward Akuffo co-authored an article titled “Canada\u2019s Africa Strategy Is a Landmark Moment for Canada-Africa Relations, but Still Needs Work<\/strong><\/em><\/a>” in The Conversation<\/em>. Written in collaboration with David Black, David Hornsby, and Thomas Tieku, the article explores Canada\u2019s recently released strategy for engaging with Africa.<\/li>\n
- Dr. Edward Akuffo was quoted in The Globe and Mail<\/em> article titled Ottawa launches its long-delayed Africa strategy, but no new money attached<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. The article features the federal government\u2019s Africa strategy.<\/li>\n
- Professor Hamish Telford was interviewed by CNN<\/a> about Canadian Politics.\n

English<\/h2>\n

- Dr. Prabhjot Parmar (English) was a featured speaker at Decolonial Conversations<\/em> (Western University), exploring the role of Indigenous philosophy and Sufi traditions in resisting colonial power. She also chaired a panel on activism through dress, bodies, and speech.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Criminology and Criminal Justice<\/strong><\/h2>\n

- Dr. Hayli Millar, Associate Professor, co-authored a research paper titled “Opportunities for Equitable and Effective Bail Reform – An Annotated Bibliography Exploring Intersecting Inequities in Women\u2019s Bail and Remand Experiences in Canada<\/em><\/strong><\/a>” with Megan Capp and Raelyn O\u2019Hara. The study is endorsed by the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy.<\/li>\n
- Yvon Dandurand, Professor Emeritus, recently published four articles:\n
