As of January 1, 2012, deducting CPP contributions from your pensionable earnings is mandatory up to the age of 70.\u00a0 However, employees over age 65 but under 70 may elect to stop making CPP contributions by completing a CPT30 form \u201cElection to Stop contributing to the Canada Pension Plan or Revocation of a Prior Election\u201d.<\/p>\n
