She has a long record of excellence in elementary and secondary school leadership, and is well-known for her exceptional work with new immigrant communities, parents, and children. Antak has developed and supported community involvements in education decision making, she has initiated new mentoring activities for teachers, and she now plays an active role in helping to prepare teacher candidates enrolled in the University of the Fraser Valley\u2019s Teacher Education program.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ufv.ca\/teachereducation\/be-a-faculty-mentor\/\">faculty mentor<\/a> supervises and mentors UFV teacher candidates when they are in the schools.
