The University of the Fraser Valley volleyball teams are in action at home this weekend vs. the Douglas Royals.
\nGames are Friday and Saturday at the Student Activity Centre North Gym, with the women playing at 6 pm followed by the men at 8 pm both nights.
\nBoth Cascades teams are ranked nationally coming into the weekend \u2013 the women (6-2) are No. 6 in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) poll, while the men (5-3) made their season debut in the CCAA rankings this week, coming in at No. 15.
\nThe men\u2019s match-up vs. Douglas is particularly intriguing, as the Royals (6-0) are first in the PacWest conference and ranked No. 2 nationally. The Douglas women sit fifth in the PacWest at 2-4.
\n\u201cWe know it\u2019s going to be a battle, but so far we\u2019ve really played well at home and we hope to continue that trend this weekend,\u201d UFV men\u2019s volleyball coach Kyle Donen said. \u201cWe just need to believe in what we\u2019re doing and execute well.\u201d<\/p>\n
