Dear\u00a0colleagues,<\/div>\n

We’re\u00a0pleased to announce the launch of Zoom(ing) to Teams, an initiative that will move UFV from Zoom to Microsoft Teams for classroom teaching, webinars, and virtual collaboration.<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This transition, which will be completed in August 2027,\u00a0reflects our ongoing commitment to giving faculty, staff, and students technology that is effective, integrated, and sustainable. By expanding a platform many of us already use, we can strengthen collaboration while making better use of the tools UFV already has in place.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The transition begins with a pilot program\u00a0running through the 2026 fall semester,\u00a0open to\u00a0all faculty,\u00a0instructors, and staff<\/b>\u00a0who want to explore Teams for teaching and learning.\u00a0If\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0interested in participating, please email asktlc@ufv.ca<\/u><\/a>.<\/div>\n
A larger pilot program will follow in the winter 2027 semester, and both pilots\u00a0will help us understand classroom use cases and gather feedback to guide the broader transition.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As of August 16, 2027,\u00a0all online interactions (teaching, meeting, student support, communication, webinars, conferencing, etc.) will be done through Teams.<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Zoom will remain available throughout the transition<\/b>, so\u00a0there’s\u00a0no disruption to current teaching.<\/div>\n
