UFV Global Game Jam 2026 \u2013 Abbotsford Campus<\/p>\n
The University of the Fraser Valley invites students, staff, and faculty from all disciplines to participate in Global Game Jam 2026, an international event celebrating creativity, collaboration, and game-making.<\/p>\n
Open to all experience levels, this immersive weekend challenges participants to design and build digital or physical games in just 48 hours. Whether you\u2019re a seasoned developer or simply curious about game creation, you\u2019re encouraged to take part.<\/p>\n

\nC1427, Abbotsford campus<\/p>\n
The event kicks off Friday morning with an in-person opening session, where participants will meet, form teams, and explore the official global theme. Teams may then continue working on campus during open hours or collaborate remotely throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n
UFV will provide access to campus facilities, equipment, and computers, along with technical support from faculty in Media Arts, Game Design and Development (GDD), and Computer Information Systems (CDIS). Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and materials, particularly those working on physical or tabletop games.<\/p>\n
🍕 Food: Meals are not provided; however, campus food services and nearby restaurants will be open.
\n💻 What to Bring: A laptop and charger, any creative tools you prefer, and a collaborative mindset.<\/p>\n
The UFV jam site is proudly hosted by the School of Creative Arts (SoCA), with a special emphasis this year on cross-disciplinary collaboration. We welcome artists, programmers, writers, designers, musicians, and anyone interested in exploring game creation \u2014 digital or analog.<\/p>\n
