IT Services would appreciate your support in reminding faculty of the simple steps to follow when leaving a classroom.
\nThese steps help reduce energy use and extend the life of classroom equipment.<\/p>\n
When class ends, faculty should please do the following:<\/p>\n
1.Turn off the AV system
\n\u2022 Press the Power Off button on the podium touch panel
\n\u2022 Wait until the Power Off button turns solid white or the touch screen confirms the system is shutting down<\/p>\n
2.Log out of the classroom computer
\n\u2022 Select Sign out \/ Log out
\n\u2022 Please do not power off the computer<\/p>\n
3.Turn off the room lights
\n\u2022 Use the wall light switch near the exit<\/p>\n
If a faculty member is unsure how to complete any of these steps, IT Services is happy to help. Contact the IT Service Desk for assistance or to request an in-class walk-through.<\/p>\n
