On Thursday, Oct 9 from 9:30 to 11 am on the UFV Abbotsford campus (room B101), students will have a unique opportunity to hear from leading voices in human rights and peacebuilding.<\/p>\n

This panel discussion features:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alex Neve \u2013 2025 Massey Lecturer and former Secretary General of Amnesty International Canada.<\/p>\n

Adam Gaudry \u2013 Interim Dean of Native Studies, University of Alberta.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kirsten Van Houten \u2013 UFV Assistant Professor, School of Social Justice and Global Stewardship.<\/p>\n

Together, they co-edited Hand-in-Hand? Canada at the Human Rights and Peacebuilding Nexus<\/em>, a book published in 2024 that critically examines Canadian policy and practice on human rights and peacebuilding.<\/p>\n

At this panel, the editors and contributors will share insights from their chapters and reflect on what has changed in Canada\u2019s human rights and peacebuilding landscape over the last year.<\/p>\n
