The welcoming reception for Where is Home? – A Group Exhibition <\/em><\/a>takes place Wednesday, Oct 15 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the UFV Abbotsford S\u2019eliyemetaxwtexw Art Gallery (room B136). All are welcome to attend, and admission is free.<\/p>\n On display from Oct 10 through Nov 7, Where is Home?<\/em> brings together emerging artists who explore the shifting, intimate, and sometimes fragmented meanings of home. Through photography, mixed media, and installation, the exhibition captures how home is carried across borders, embedded in memory, and shaped by relationships.<\/p>\n This exhibition features Anushray Singh (UFV SoCA sessional faculty) with School of Creative Arts (SoCA) alumni and student artists Yukun Lin, Zee Coulter, Eddy Rubi, Piper Hornall, Yamel Olivan, Shaevi Khatri, Kay Ber and Mithil Dedhia. Each artist reimagines ‘home’ through a deeply personal lens \u2014 from everyday objects to symbolic connections that bind us across distance and time. Collectively, the works open a dialogue on belonging, identity, and the spaces we create for ourselves.<\/p>\n The work is part of Singh\u2019s ongoing oeuvre, exploring home, nostalgia, and the third space through themes of migration, memory, spirituality, and archetypal patterns.
