{"id":35276,"date":"2025-06-16T23:48:56","date_gmt":"2025-06-17T06:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/announce\/?p=35276"},"modified":"2025-06-16T23:48:56","modified_gmt":"2025-06-17T06:48:56","slug":"ev-charger-installations-in-chilliwack-and-abbotsford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/announce\/2025\/06\/16\/ev-charger-installations-in-chilliwack-and-abbotsford\/","title":{"rendered":"EV charger installations in Chilliwack and Abbotsford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">As part of <span class=\"markhc8rjd7zz\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">UFV<\/span>\u2019s commitment to sustainability, CFPM and <span class=\"markhc8rjd7zz\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">UFV<\/span>\u2019s Office of Sustainability have partnered with BC Hydro to install additional electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Installation schedule:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Chilliwack campus (TTC):<\/b> Begins on <b>Monday, June 16 <\/b>in the northeast corner of Lot 1, with crews on site Monday to Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Abbotsford campus: <\/b>Begins on <b>Monday, June 30<\/b> in the southwest corner of Parking Lot 10.<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>What to expect:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Designated sections of Parking Lot 10 in Abbotsford and Lot 1 in Chilliwack will be cordoned off<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Construction noise during working hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Signage, fencing, and wayfinding to help redirect traffic and parking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Campus Shuttle will operate as normal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Existing EV stations will not be impacted and there are no expected power interruptions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Questions or concerns?<\/b><br \/>\nIf you anticipate a conflict or have questions about access, please contact Energy and Climate Coordinator Alicia Nightingale at <a title=\"mailto:alicia.nightingale@ufv.ca\" href=\"mailto:alicia.nightingale@ufv.ca\">alicia.nightingale@<span class=\"markhc8rjd7zz\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">ufv<\/span>.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Thank you for your patience and support as we improve EV infrastructure and expand sustainable options at <span class=\"markhc8rjd7zz\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">UFV<\/span>.
