On Wednesday, Dec 18 from noon to 1 pm, let\u2019s chat online about traditional storytelling practices, or anything associated with story and oral traditions. Join Leanne Joe<\/a> (Indigenous Curriculum Developer) to discuss storytelling in teaching and learning.<\/p>\n This will be combined with Chat-R<\/a> and include special guest storyteller and Sto:lo Elder Dr. Gwendolyn Point<\/a>.<\/p>\n Dr. Point is a St\u00f3:l\u014d matriarch and role model who is respected for her knowledge and practice in Indigenous communities. In her role as an educator and advisor, she continues to be an influential advocate for the inclusion of Indigenous ways along with western academia. Dr. Point will share local traditions about storytelling and land acknowledgment protocols.
