The UFV Visual Arts Permanent Art Collection consists of nearly 200 works purchased from graduating Visual Arts students over the years, in addition to donations from visiting artists.<\/p>\n
Select pieces from the collection will be exhibited from Feb 12 through March 6 at the S\u2019eliyemetaxwtexw Art Gallery on the UFV Abbotsford campus.<\/p>\n
Artists have created these works during their time as students in the Visual Arts program, offering a range of studio disciplines including, but not limited to, foundations studio, photography, sculpture, print media, painting, and drawing.<\/p>\n
The continued acquisition of artistic works intends to foster intellectual and artistic freedom, curiosity, cultural sensitivity, creativity, and responsibility across the university. Various works from the Permanent Art Collection have been installed throughout the UFV campuses.
