\"\"The opening reception for the Tripping in the Dark photo exhibition is Oct 18 at the S\u2019eliyemetaxwtexw Art Gallery.<\/p>\n

Tripping in the Dark features the work of Jared Soegard, who seeks to explore the diverse emotional aura brought upon by the nighttime by presenting a variety of spaces photographed at night. This project is not intended to endorse a specific emotional response. Rather, the viewer should consider what emotions these images cultivate and why a certain image creates that specific emotion. As a result, one may reflect on how their experiences and histories have shaped their perceptions of and connection to the night.<\/p>\n

The exhibition continues until Nov 8, with the S\u2019eliyemetaxwtexw Art Gallery open from noon to 5 pm Monday through Friday.<\/p>\n
