Join us at UFV Chilliwack library\u2019s second Science Caf\u00e9 on Drought in the Fraser Valley, Wednesday, Oct 11, 10–11:30 am.
\nWe’re supposed to be living in a rain forest, but lately it feels more like a semi-arid desert. Where’s all the water?
\nOur Science Caf\u00e9 will feature Dr. Eric Gerbrandt, UFV\u2019s 2023 distinguished alumni award winner, and Geoscience professor Scott Shupe who will discuss BC’s drought situation, the Chilliwack aquifer, and the environmental consequences of our changing climate.
\nScience caf\u00e9s focus on current events in science and are presented in layperson\u2019s language. The event includes a question-and-answer session and door prizes. The library, which is on the first floor of A building on the Canada Education Park campus, will serve coffee and cookies. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n
