UFV is now accepting nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Young Distinguished Alumni Award. These awards recognize UFV alumni who have demonstrated excellence in their field and have made significant contributions to their community and society.<\/p>\n
To be eligible for the Distinguished Alumni Award, nominees must have graduated with a master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, diploma, certificate, or citation from FVC, UCFV, or UFV, or have earned an honorary doctorate from FVC, UCFV, and\/or UFV, or have earned a certificate in a trades program. Young Distinguished Alumni Award nominees must be 35 years of age or younger as of the nomination deadline.<\/p>\n
Nominees must have demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Community, national, and international contributions
\n\u2022 Recognizable contributions to society
\n\u2022 Exemplary service to their community over a sustained period of time
\n\u2022 Tangible difference made in their community
\n\u2022 Nominees for the Distinguished Alumni Award must also have demonstrated outstanding research or innovation that has made a significant impact on the community and society.<\/p>\n
“We are proud of the accomplishments of our alumni and the positive impact they have made in their communities and beyond,” said Whitney Fordham, UFV\u2019s Director of Alumni Relations and Executive Director for the UFV Alumni Association. “The Distinguished Alumni Award and Young Distinguished Alumni Award are an opportunity for us to recognize and celebrate their achievements.”<\/p>\n
Nominations must be submitted by May 1, 2023.
