\nCome learn from employers working in multiple sectors — public, private, and not-for-profit — as they discuss the \u2018what\u2019 and \u2018how\u2019 of transferable skills. What are the skills and experiences necessary to thrive in the workplace as we find ourselves in the post-pandemic \u2018new normal\u2019? How does one develop and hone these skills and experiences in school, at work, and in other life domains? There will be time at the end of the session for attendees to pose questions to the panelists.<\/p>\n
\nDr. Candy Ho (UFV Assistant Professor, Integrative Career and Capstone Learning).<\/p>\n
\nDr. Candy Ho is the inaugural assistant professor, Integrative Career and Capstone Learning, at the University of the Fraser Valley. In this unique capacity, she teaches courses that help students consider their educational and life experiences, and how these experiences can help them achieve their short- and long-term goals, ultimately helping them design the life they want to live. She also serves as Vice Chair of CERIC, a Canadian charitable organization that advances education and research in career counselling and career development, in order to increase the economic and social well-being of Canadians.<\/p>\n
