There are all sorts of feelings about the Return to Campus after our prolonged period of working, teaching, and studying from home due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n
The University Relations team wants to capture and express some of those feelings as we prepare collectively for the start of the fall semester. And we\u2019re inviting faculty, staff, and administrators to help us.<\/p>\n
We are looking for \u201cFirst Day\u201d photo post participants. You know those \u2018first-day-of-school\u2019 photos that moms love to post to Facebook and Instagram? We\u2019d like to recreate that vibe with \u2018back to school\/work on campus\u2019 photos from a cross-section of UFV people. If you\u2019re willing to participate, please send an email to marcom@ufv.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n Did you ever receive a note of encouragement from a parent in your lunch bag, or a welcome-back card from a friend?<\/p>\n We\u2019d like to share similar notes on our social media, to recognize and support our students and faculty.<\/p>\n Example:<\/p>\n Dear First-Year student:<\/em><\/p>\n We know the past two years of high school were tough ones, what with extended closures, learning from home, then learning at school in smaller cohorts without the usual extracurricular activities. Not to mention having to isolate if you were exposed to COVID-19. But you made it through! Welcome to on-campus life at UFV.
