The pandemic has really highlighted the digital divide in terms of equitable access to technology and digital literacy, so I look forward to tackling some of these tough challenges as we work to provide inclusive learning environments for everyone,” says Tuck.

During her time at Yukon University, she led a cross-functional team in the implementation of online registration, making the university the first territorial post-secondary institution to offer a self-serve option for students — an essential piece of infrastructure in these digital times. She has led diverse IT teams and managed projects ranging in complexity and size from $250K to $12M. She has a strong track record of collaborative, inclusive leadership and for building engaged and high-performance teams.

Tuck sees a bright future at UFV. “What attracted me to UFV was the student-centred focus of the institution and as technology is integrated into all aspects of our lives, I am looking forward to collaborating with stakeholders across the UFV community to provide innovative solutions that support our faculty, staff, researchers, and students.”

Tuck holds a Bachelor of Arts, Management (Honours) from the University of Hull, UK, along with ITIL Foundation certificate and Information Access & Protection of Privacy Fundamentals.
