UFV REACH has partnered up with ParticipACTION for the Great Big Move event to virtually explore Canada while encouraging everyone to be physically active. Event runs from October 1 to 31. To participate you will need to download the ParticipACTION app.<\/p>\n
This challenge can be done on your own or as a team of 2-8 people. Once you are signed up, your move minutes are tracked and milestones along the route are unlocked. As you and your team are active, the unlocked milestones, increase your chances of winning awesome prizes through ParticipACTION.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t forget the UFV REACH team is also giving away prizes for individuals who submit their active minutes on the Attendance Verification form* each week which can be found on MyCampusLife. Why are we encouraging you to get moving?<\/p>\n Getting more physically active on a daily basis and breaking up the many hours that we spend sitting while studying or working can improve focus, help us manage stress, and contribute to making us healthier and happier individuals.<\/p>\n Joining the Great Big Move is easy: 1. Open the app and follow the steps to create your profile or add the PIN code. No problem! You can still simply track your move minutes on your own and report them, along with other events through the REACH Attendance Verification Form to be enter for weekly prizes. \n1. Download the free ParticipACTION app in Google Play* or App Store*
\n2. Open the app and follow the steps to create your profile
\n3. Enter the UFV specific PIN code below by tapping the settings icon in the top right of your homescreen and selecting ParticipACTION+
\na. Student Code: UFVREACH
\nb. Employee Code: UFVUNITE
\n4. Tap the icon that looks like a group of runners found within the bottom navigation bar
\n5. Tap the \u201cCREATE A TEAM\u201d button \u2013 make sure to give it a good name!**
\n6. On the next screen tap \u201cSHARE CODE\u201d \u2013 rally up to 7 teammates to join your team!
\n7. Get moving and tracking!
