{"id":22003,"date":"2020-04-05T14:00:30","date_gmt":"2020-04-05T21:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/announce\/?p=22003"},"modified":"2020-04-05T22:29:27","modified_gmt":"2020-04-06T05:29:27","slug":"parking-fees-suspended-student-emergency-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ufv.ca\/announce\/2020\/04\/05\/parking-fees-suspended-student-emergency-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Parking Fees suspended\/Student Emergency fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Since many UFV employees are working remotely to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, UFV has suspended bi-monthly parking fees for all staff and faculty until further notice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As a result, several employees have generously offered to <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.ufv.ca\/parking-fee-redirection\"><span class=\"s2\">donate their parking fees<\/span><\/a> to the UFV Student Emergency Fund, and suggested we provide this option to all employees. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This fund assists students experiencing urgent and serious financial difficulties. The university is receiving an unprecedented number of requests as a result of the pandemic. Your donation will provide much-needed financial relief.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">To donate your parking fees, please complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/connect.ufv.ca\/parking-fee-redirection\"><span class=\"s2\">online form<\/span><\/a> by April 15, 2020. The reallocation of $12.50 per pay period (or any amount of your choosing) would begin April 30, and cease when parking fees are reinstated.
