Please join the English, Linguistics, and Music department welcome the incoming writer-in-residence for 2020, Ad\u00e9le Barclay.<\/p>\n

Ad\u00e9le Barclay is the author of If I Were in a Cage I\u2019d Reach Out For You<\/em>, which won the 2017 Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize, and the recently released Renaissance Normcore<\/em>. She is the recipient of the 2016 Lit POP Award for Poetry and The Walrus\u2019 2<\/em>016 Reader\u2019s Choice Award for Poetry and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her poems and essays have appeared in the Canadian and US journals. Previously she has been the critic-in-residence for Canadian Women in Literary Arts and Arc Magazine\u2019s poet-in-residence. An editor at Rahila\u2019s Ghost Press, she lives on unceded Coast Salish territory\/Vancouver, BC. Ad\u00e9le will be available in her office, D3009, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.<\/p>\n

Join us in on Tues, Jan 21 at 11:45 am, in room B132 when Ad\u00e9le will read from her work and share her plans for residency with UFV, answer any questions you may have.<\/p>\n
